Air Gordon Shoes and the Empty Nest

School started Tuesday. It was a little strange for our family. Tuesday was the first school day in over ten years that one of the adults did not drop the twins off at a school or the bus stop. Yes, Girl Twin drove to school. For a whole slew of reasons, Boy Twin did not drive to school. First, it does not make sense to take two vehicles to the same destination every day. It was easy to get the twins to agree that driving two vehicles to school does not make economic sense. If you tell a teenager they will need to buy some of their own gas, they understand. Neither twin got a summer job last summer, although Boy Twin earned over five hundred dollars this past summer helping a friend’s f

Rodents and Peaches

The 2019 Hot August Knits Yarn Crawl is over, however, the stores have already started working on the 2020 yarn crawl. Before the 2020 yarn crawl, Elaine, Ivy and Your Daily Fiber will host the 2019 Wild West Knitting Retreat at the Cherokee Park Ranch. Personally, I have nothing to do with the knitting retreat until the day it starts, then I will carry a bunch of heavy stuff. Luckily, I have my new construction job to keep me busy. I’m in a hurry today. I need to get ready for my surprise birthday party. (Yes, I know that Spacebook does not think my birthday is today. My Mom told me I was born on August 4th. I’m going to go with that. She would have known.) Elaine and the kids are taking me to a Colorado Rockies game. It was supposed to be a surprise, but surprises don’t work in our house. The kids were asking me a couple weeks ago if I had plans for my birthday. Next, they asked where I would like to sit, IF I was going to a game. You didn’t need to be a detective to figure this out. Anyway, they admitted what was up and I’m going to a game today. Its going to be fun, but before we can head to the game, we n
