Learn how to Steek!

Time to get brave! Retreaters will start by making a mini sweater designed just for Wild West Knitting retreat!

After the sweater is worked we will get brave and cut that sweater open!

We will secure our edges with either a sewing machine or a line of single crochet!

Then come the scissors, it will be time to cut!

We'll cover:

Stranded color worked in the round.

Adding crocheting edging, Before cutting open that cardigan! 

Finishing off raw edging and adding button bands! 

The mini sweater will be a great way to remember an amazing vacation during the winter months. 

Rag Rug Weaving!

Beginners and experienced weavers alike explore Rag Rug weaving using a variety of recyclable materials- sheets, jeans, Pendleton woven selvedges, knit strips and even plastic grocery bags while making a small rug.

 

 Class description:

Students will start by choosing warp materials and warping looms for rug weaving on either rigid heddle or 4 harness looms. We will explore different patterns from plain weave to 4 harness drafts. We will learn different finishing techniques from hemming to fringe.
