Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone!
At some point in the wee hours of last night/this morning Santa arrived at the Sipes Home. I fully expected to find an ample amount of coal under the tree and in the stockings, only to find a room full of wrapped presents. I expect to find coal every year, but I was disappointed again. I can't figure out what Santa is looking for; If these kids didn't make the naughty list this year, I don't know how they ever will.
Being blessed with children and grandchildren in our house, it's been fun to watch and compare the generations. Christmas for my son (as a child) meant receiving some type of toy that might or might not have a battery. Five hours later he was playing with an empty egg carton. Christmas for the grandkids means fully computerized, hooked to the TV stuff. Five hours later they are in "time out".
AH, the crazy life.
From the Sipes family and Your Daily Fiber, we hope you all had a great Christmas. We hope the coming New Year brings good heath, happiness and prosperity to you all. Hug your family for me. Hell, if you think someone needs a hug, hug 'em. I take full responsibility. Your Daily Fiber and the Sipes family would like to thank all the members of the military. Stay safe!

Our crazy lives.
PS UPDATE The Sipes family remodel, we installed countertops a couple of weeks ago. I was able to talk Elaine out of granite. A few years back, I was building a structure for a famous coffee chain from the Northwest in Rock Springs. Wyoming. The granite countertop arrived broken along a natural grain in the granite. We were able to epoxy it back together, but I can't get that out of my head.
We went with the recycled plastic stuff. The best part, Thursday we took delivery of the electric range. For most people a new range would be a happy thing, not earth moving, Except for we have lived in this house for seven and 1/2 years cooking on a hotplate. Our crazy lives!
The appliance delivery guy was pretty funny. Somehow, using his GPS he got off on some four-wheel drive trail on the way to our house. He telephoned me from somewhere, telling me he was stuck in the snow. I told him I didn't have a clue where he was, and we live on a road that is completely dry and passable with any vehicle. At any rate, he arrived 2 hours later and told me he thought he would never see a human again. I'm not making this stuff up!
