Best Plans

I’m not sure this retirement thing is working out. Planning my time is getting harder evey day. This past week is a great example of what I’m talking about.

With our recent rains the grass is growing. No big deal, I’m retired, I have plenty of time to mow. Except my cousin is in town for his yearly visit. Easy enough plan for a couple hours to visit and go to lunch. Tie his visit to a doctor’s appointment and a trip to purchase new shoes. Great plan!

The doctor’s appointment went off as planned, giving me extra time with my cousin, Lunch took four and a half hours. That’s OK, I’ll get shoes tomorrow.

A quick trip to town for shoes equals a visit to three big box stores and fried rice at the fast food store. The day is gone. OK, I’ll mow tomorrow.

Tomorrow is here, it’s raining. I PLAN on mowing soon. Very, very soon!

God Bless, Love ya, procrastination isn’t always bad.

Our crazy lives!
