Good Air
Hello, Mumblers. I’m a little late with today’s story. Truth is I was not where I could write a story. Reluctantly, I’m going to tell the story now. Let me first say that I turned seventy last month. Things didn’t go bad becauseI turned seventy, but I noticed things were bad.
At a recent doctor visit, it was determined by my doctor(s) that breathing is not what I was good at. This breathing revelation caused me to spend seven days in the local hospital. I could have written the story then but I couldn’t find the words I wanted to Mumble. To put it simply, my right lung was filled with fluid.
I could have dealt with it then, but I didn’t. Therefore, no story was written.
I’m ready to Mumble now. In the wee hours last Friday morning, I could tell things weren’t right with my seventy year old self. At 7:30 Friday morning I suggested to Elaine, “You might want to get dressed, I think we’re going.”
Elaine and I decided I needed an ambulance as I could not breathe. At the hospital it was thought I was having heart problems caused or exacerbated by whatever was in my right lung which was pushing on my left lung and squeezing my chest.
This morning I had a procedure to remove the fluid in my right lung. I won’t kid you, I didn’t know how good I can breathe. I love modern medicine. I’m home and feeling good.
God Bless, Love ya, There’s a lot of good air out there.
Our crazy lives!
