Big Week

It's going to a big week coming up. Elaine will finally get to see the orthopedic surgeon this Monday. It has been at least two months that the dogs crashed into the side of her knee. That said, she has some responsibility for the long delay. I can't begin to guess how many times I heard, "I don't need to go to the doctor, my knee feels pretty good today. Besides, the world needs more powerlines, and I need to give it to them."
Myself, I have two appointments also. The first being a check-up at the doctors. It's no big deal and I would postpone the appointment, but it's so hard to reschedule. One of Elaine's doctors told her the Northern Colorado front Range is short three hundred and fifty doctors. Maybe we can get those 350 from the millions of people who crossed the border into the country in the last few years. Oh, sorry. I lost my head for a second.
Thursday, I have an appointment to renew my driver's license. I'm not very good at renewing things as I will explain now. I don't really feel that I need a driver's license. Oh, I drive, I have for more than fifty years. I haven't had to show my license to a policeman/woman in years. (Knock on wood) So, why is it necessary?
I guess you need a driver's license to do business at the bank, which is exactly why I have an appointment to renew my license. I was asked to show my license at the bank. The teller informed me my license was expired. It was expired for more than a year. I told you I never use it. The teller asked for another form of identification. I had alternate forms, all expired. Even though, my license had my photo and my address the bank would not complete my business with them.
I will renew my license Thursday, God willing. I most likely will put it in my wallet and forget about it again, unless I want to cash a check.
God Bless, Love ya, check your wallet
our crazy lives!

Great post! Loved the energy and sense of achievement you shared about your “big week.” Have you ever thought about taking a break from the hustle with a change of pace like a Morning Desert Safari? Imagine starting your day in the golden Arabian sands, capturing that soft sunrise light, walking with camels, and enjoying calm before the crowds fill the world. It’s a perfect reset after a busy week like yours—fresh air, quiet dunes, and a new perspective.
