Summer is finally here, and with it comes mixed reviews. The late spring rains have the landscape in various colors of green. It is looking like I will be mowing this year. Last summer suffered from a lack of rain that I didn't even start the lawn mower once all summer. This year is going to be different.
My summer is off to a questionable start. I love to garden. Some of you might know that about me. Having a garden at our mountain home has its own challenges. Specifically, deer and rabbits. A couple years back, I purchased a greenhouse to keep the wildlife out and away from our vegetables. And then I purchased another greenhouse, but that's a story for another day.
I was planting the last of my tomato plants last Friday in the greenhouse. The sun was shining, making for a great day for planting. Elaine was inside working on powerlines; I went inside to show her my handiness. I barely noticed I could not walk in a straight line. It didn't seem to bother me, the terrain is uneven, with rocks. Who can walk straight in that? If it hadn't been that I was so dizzy, I probably wouldn't have said anything to Elaine.
But that's not how it happened. I convinced myself I was having a stroke or a brain tumor. I asked Elaine to take me to the hospital. Nobody told me when a person is working in a very warm greenhouse you need to drink water. I spent the rest of the day and next night taking IV fluids.
This has the makings of the most entertaining summer.
Hey listen, I am having a devil of a time with my software, making typing (construction language) near impossible. I'm cutting this days' story short.
God Bless, Love ya, drink water
