I Haven't Seen a Difference

After thirty-seven years of working for the same company, Elaine has retired. I have one question for her. Why?So far, her life hasn't changed much,
Elaine spent the first week of retirement, getting out of bed earlier than she wanted too. Ok, the dogs had a lot to do with that. Elaine spent the week on the computer, the phone, and in meetings. Very little of that time was actually spent on powerlines.
the time was spent signing up for Medicare and getting off the company's healthcare policy. I think I saw her transferring her 401K. Her first week of retirement didn't affect me much, unless you consider the six new bar stools that needed to be assembled.
Prior to retirement we had discussed heading to Arizona to watch spring training baseball games. That might be hard to accomplish considering Thursday knitting with friends, Wednesday night dinners with another group of friends and a smattering of doctor's appointments (hers and mine)
SO far, I think she has worked just as much, and honestly, I think I just would have stayed. Maybe by next week she will have the hang of retirement, and we can assemble more furniture.
God Bless, Love ya,
Our crazy lives,
Monner
