Like Father, like Daughter

It’s been a long time, I can still remember how horrible it was. I swore it would never happen to me(us).

Elaine and I were a young married couple, not newly weds, but young and married to each other. We were upwardly mobile and found ourselves moving from an apartment we were renting to a house we bought. As you can see, life was pretty good.

One small problem, and the lease was up on our apartment and our house was not ready to move into. We needed to find a CHEAP place to live. We moved in with my parents. For reference, mom was always nice, my dad, well! Mom was in her battle with colon cancer and I think she appreciated the distraction. Dad hated it and most likely us too.

Recently , Girl Twin and her roomates lost their place of domicile. She asked if she coould come home until they found another place to live. Suddenly, I became my dad, I like being an empty nester. I’ve paid my dues.

Im not looking forward to this. She is bringing a roommate and two dogs. Grumpy? Yeah, I hate to admit my dad was right.

On an unrelated story, I/we have not correct my computer/typewriter problems. Life has to get better.

God bless, Love ya, (it’s hard), life can be ugly

Our crazy lives!
