Sick of It

As far as I'm concerned, this winter can end any time now. This is the most unusual winter that I can remember. I can't say for sure, but I think Elaine's pending and then finally retirement might have something to do with it.
Before you jump on me, hear me out. Elaine and I have been making plans since the fall. Plans about what we think we would like to do, now that we both have the time. But since she actually retired, the wind has been blowing taking away the thrill of being retired. At least for me. You see, I like to "play" outside. The wind has kept me inside the house.
Elaine on the other hand is quite content knitting, weaving, and playing with her spinning wheels, leaving me to watch her enjoy her retirement. I not accusing Elaine of being in control of the wind and the weather, but I do find it more than a little suspicious, don't you?
Last fall we discussed plans to take a trip to Alaska and various train excursions, things like that. Now my plans include putting the door back on my greenhouse and clean up the yard of all the windblown trash. All things I didn't need to do before Elaine retired.
We still talk about taking an Alaskan cruise but mostly we talk about the baby sweaters. Elaine has decided to knit for everyone in America having a baby. Again, I find it just a little suspicious that I have wind generated projects while Elaine is sending baby sweaters across America and looking for Morgan Freeman movies on Prime.
I have not heard her say she is enjoying this wind, but I haven't heard say she was sick of it, either. That's my job.
God Bless, Love ya, make it stop
Our crazy lives!
