Unfinished Business
I was raised in a middle-class family in a neighborhood where people were proud of their lawns. Oh sorry. that is not the unfinished business I'm writing about today. But if it was I have a great childhood story about my dad asking/telling one of his five sons to mow the lawn. Not one of the sons mowed the lawn (in a timely manner) So in a "I'll teach them" moment, Dad mowed the lawn and everything in it. He was having a great time mowing baseballs, mitts, frisbees along with the grass, until he mowed a screwdriver one of us boys left in the grass while working on a bike. .It WAS a brand new mover. We got another new mower the next week. I don't remember dad mowing again.
OK, unfinished business. This past summer, I have written about having injure my back/spine. I have had a constant ache in my right leg since June. Included in that pain, is the more than occasional lighting bolt that shoots down my right leg.
I have not been able to have the surgery that the spine surgeon tells me I need. Well, its happening Finally the sun has lined up with moon, the insurance is settled (private insurance) he doctors have giving clearance and are available. I am having surgery Tuesday. I need to get this business finished.
I have a great time telling stories but today my mind is in a different place.
God Bless, Love ya, Keep knitting, go ahead and pray, I don't mind.
Our crazy lives!
