Time Change

I wish they could leave it alone. the time. I would rather have the extra daylight after work, after school, even after dinner.
What's wrong with having an extra hour of dark in the morning? My dogs would love it. The dogs get up when the sun starts shining in the windows on the east side of the house. That wouldn't be bad except for the fact that the ever-present herd of deer move into the yard just before dawn. The dogs know the deer are up to no good and are determined to drive them from the yard.
If I sound a little bitter, it is because I am. Even though we live in an area where wildlife is abundant it is a no hunting area. I realize the neither the deer nor the dogs can tell time, but they know when it is first light (dawn).
Realizing the time changes only twice a year, we all know it take some extra time to get used to it. The dogs and the deer are no exceptions. Plus, they have no consideration for my sleep habits.
Did I tell you I counted forty deer on our road driving to town on day this past week? They weren't driving, I was. The deer know it is hunting season and gather in our neighborhood, where they are protected by the law and my neighbors. I'm sure that some of the neighbors feed the deer and now for the next few months they will be feeding them earlier in the day. Yes, still bitter.
God bless, Love ya, Use your nap time.
Our crazy lives!
